Palimpsestes
is a journal
devoted to
the theoretical and
practical problems of translating French
into
English,
and
English into
French.It
is intended for all who are in any way interested in the
exciting operations of communicating and recreating that lie
behind translation. Each issue of
Palimpsestes covers a specific translating
problem. The
articles
endeavour to bring
out what can be theorised - or at least generalised or given
a general value - from specific texts and their
translations. Palimpsestes
aims to
integrate theory into the practice of translating, while
also reflecting on the concrete problems facing a
translator.
A bilingual
presentation of all the texts discussed
is included with
each issue of
Palimpsestes.
